Corsican Villages
Located on the coast or in the mountains,
they are the legacy and testimony to a long history of greed, invasions and mainstream of civilizations.
They are the remnants preserved and maintained stacking ancient cultures.
Their inhabitants accustomed to a hard life surrounded by beauty and wonders seem carved in granite,
ready to defend their authenticity and you open the door all at the same time as their hearts.

The Cinarca Valley
The Cinarca Valley is located between Ajaccio and Cargese.
Villages were built set back in the mountain as a way of protecting themselves from barbaric invasions.
They overlook the sea, dominating ancient farm lands: vignards on the hills, corn in the plain of Liamone.
Below, are the ruins of the castle of the counts of Cinarca-Capraja.
First, you can see the gulf of the Liscia, its adorable Tuccia beach resort and the village named after it, which, before being a diocese, was a Roman city.
Finally, in the distance, you can see the tip of Cargese where, in March 1676, seven hundred Greeks from Peloponese, running away from the Turks, took shelter.
Beyond Cargèse, extend and Calaques Piana and Porto
The Gulf of Valinco
Located on the western coast, south of the gulf of Ajaccio, its harbours,
the city of Propriano and its marina. In the eighteenth century, just like on a child’s drawing,
there were only four little houses hidden away in that magnificent Valinco.
Its rich country side protected from the winds, made it a very popular place as far back as the antiquity.
For trading, fishing or sailing, this harbour is a great link between the mountain and the sea.
A little further away, the city of Sartene seems to be extending the mountain.
What a surprising site! An acropolis of granite with winding streets holding on to the rock.
The holy Friday procession of “Catenacciu” in itself, makes Sartene a unique place.
The Gravona Valley
On the main road between Ajaccio, Corte and Bastia,
a succession of small villages preserved, lead you to Bocognano ,
small green any time attended, before tackling the climb to the Col of Vizzavona,
separating virtually Corsica between the north and south.
The Gorges of Prunelli
Start from the beach, in the center of the Gulf of Ajaccio and up to Batelica,
historical place in Corsica,
through the beautiful village of Tolla with its lake surrounded by forest.
